pCarbs is operated by Snaapi LLC, a company registered in Virginia, USA. If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us at privacy@snaapi.dev.

pCarbs is designed to be private by default. Your tracking data stays on your device and syncs through your own iCloud account. We do not require an account, email address, or any personal information to use the app. We do not run ads. We do not sell data.

On this website

This website is informational only. We do not collect personal data, use cookies, or run analytics scripts. No third-party trackers are loaded.

In the iOS app

All macro entries, daily goals, notes, and history are stored locally on your device and synced through Apple's iCloud service. We never have access to this data on our servers.

The only time data leaves your device is when you choose to use the Share feature (described below).

App Store analytics

We receive aggregated, anonymized analytics from Apple through App Store Connect (such as download counts and crash logs during beta testing). We do not use any third-party analytics software, crash reporting tools, or tracking libraries in the app.

When you share a day, only your macro numbers (protein and carb totals, goals, and individual entries) are sent to our server. No personal information such as your name or email is included. You are identified only by a random, anonymous identifier generated on your device.

• Shared links expire automatically after 30 days.
• You can revoke a shared link at any time from within the app.
• Shared data is stored on our server and deleted upon expiration.

pCarbs can write macro data to Apple Health if you grant permission. The app never reads data from Apple Health. You can revoke this permission at any time in your device's Settings app under Health > Data Access & Devices.

In-app purchases (such as pCarbs Pro) are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment information, credit card details, or billing address.

pCarbs relies on the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Apple iCloud for on-device data sync
• Apple App Store for app distribution and payments
• Apple Health for optional macro data export (write only)

We do not integrate with advertising networks, social media platforms, or third-party analytics providers.

Your tracking data is stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We do not control or have access to this data.

Shared link data is retained on our server for a maximum of 30 days and is automatically deleted after expiration. You may also delete shared data at any time by revoking the link.

pCarbs does not include social features, chat, or user-to-user communication. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because no personal data is collected or stored on our servers during normal use, there is no data collection that requires age verification.

Because pCarbs stores your data locally and we do not maintain user accounts, most privacy rights are exercised directly on your device. You can delete your data at any time by removing the app or clearing its data.

For users in the European Union (GDPR)

You have the right to:

• Access your data (available on-device and via the data export feature in pCarbs Pro)
• Rectify your data by editing entries directly in the app
• Erase your data by deleting entries, revoking shared links, or removing the app
• Port your data using the CSV export feature
• Object to processing, though we do not process personal data beyond what is described in this policy

For users in Virginia (VCDPA)

Under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, you have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and port your data. Because pCarbs does not collect personal data on our servers during normal use, these rights are largely exercised on-device. Contact us at privacy@snaapi.dev if you need assistance.

Shared link data is transmitted over HTTPS. On-device data is protected by your device's built-in encryption and your iCloud account security. We do not store passwords or authentication credentials because pCarbs does not use accounts.

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
